About KCNS Eligibility criteria: The KCNS exam is applicable to the students of Class V-IX of CBSE, ICSE & State Board Affiliated Schools in India.


Enrollment for KCNS has started from 11th August, 2017.

About Registration

To enroll for the KCNS Exam, Register here and Create a User Id.


It is mandatory to completely and correctly fill out the profile information along with the profile photo and the school identity card of the current academic year /mark sheet of the previous academic year.


Upon profile registration, you will receive an email with the Educharya log in and password on your registered Email ID & Mobile Number.

Prizes:

Students : The Total Categories of Prizes are 4. 4th is the consolation Prize Category. Each prize category has 21 winners. The total number of Winners are 84 students across all the Prize Categories.


 1st Prize: NASA camp. Top 21 students will get to go to NASA camp.

 2nd Prize: Cash Prize of INR One Lakh will be awarded to 21 students.

 3rd Prize: Cash Prize of INR Fifty-One Thousand will be awarded to 21 students.

 Consolation Prize (4th): Cash Prize of INR Twenty-One Thousand will be awarded to 21 students.

About KCNS Preparation

The KCNS exam course is in-line with your school and academic curriculums, i.e., ICSE, CBSE and State Boards set of courses.

You will be required to study your academic curriculum, gather vast knowledge plus stand a chance to go to NASA camp or win cash prizes.

To aid you further, we will conduct online Practice papers for the Exam Preparation, dedicated 9 Sundays from 11th August to 5th of December 2017, to give you a fair chance to win.

KCNS Selection process

The KCNS exam will be conducted in two stages;

 The first stage will be the Online Scholarship Exam. The Class wise Merit list will name the Qualifiers.


 In the Second stage, the Qualifiers will have to go through the Rapid Fire round through Skype / Video Calling. (Applicable only to the Qualifiers)


 In each Prize category of 21 winners, 9 students will be from Classes V-VII, 10 students will be from Classes VIII-IX and one reserve category winner each from the Wards of Farmer** & Military personnel.


Terms and Conditions for the KCNS Exam

  “Participants” shall be enrolled for the current academic session, in the Class group of V-IX of the ICSE, CBSE or State Board Schools in India. All Participants must seek their parents' / guardians' approval before participating in the Contest. It will be the responsibility of parents/guardians to monitor their children's participation in this Exam.


  The KCNS exam can be attempted by students who are citizens of India and is open to students pan India from Affiliated ICSE, CBSE, and State Board schools.


 Employees and Immediate Family of the “Organizing Company” Educharya and its associated companies will not have the right to participate in this KCNS Exam.


 Educharya Team reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and participants (including a participant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any participant for any reason including, but not limited, to unfair practices, or use of malicious/illegitimate codes or not – adherence to these Terms and Conditions.


 All Valid and complete registrations received will be selected for the KCNS Exam.

NASA Camp Details:

Team 1: Camp KSC International for Classes V, VI & VII.

In this international camp, students engage in unique adventures and educational activities that cannot be found anywhere else. Campers team up as they are presented with NASA engineering challenges based on science, technology, engineering, and math components. Additionally, they interact with each other through space shuttle simulators, participate in everyday challenges faced by astronauts, and experience a guided tour of KSC Visitor Complex. This program is an inspiring three days of educational fun and enriching space activities.

Team 2: Camp KSC International Advance for Class VIII & IX

Program Summary

In this inspiring 3-day experience, students connect with NASA’s continuing mission of studying and understanding Mars. Students will gain knowledge through a Mars base design challenge focusing on STEM and employ robotics engineering to assist in sustaining life on Mars. Also, participants engage in a discussion about NASA’s current efforts toward establishing a permanent Mars base with a subject matter expert.


An inspector-led tour of KSC and the Apollo/Saturn V center, and viewing of NASA’s restricted access launch headquarters.

Students of class V, VI, VII, VIII & IX of CBSE, ICSE and State Board schools are eligible to enroll for the KCNS Exam 2017.

Step 1 : Visit our website www.educharya.com and click on the Kalpana Chawla image that appear when the website opens. Alternately, you can click on Login and then click the Sign Up button. Fill in the details and submit. You will receive an email and SMS on the provided email id and phone number. These are your login id/password.


Step 2 :

Login to www.educharya.com and login with the new user_id/password.

Click KCNS link towards the left hand side and fill up the form.

This should complete your KCNS registration.

Note: KCNS Exam is totally FREE.

A total of 84 students will get the scholarship. In each Prize category of 21 winners, 9 students will be from Classes V-VII, 10 students will be from Classes VIII-IX and 2 winners will be from the quota reserved for the wards of Farmer & Military personnel.

The candidates will have to take the online exam. The shortlisted candidates will then have to go through a rapid fire round. Based on the combined results of these 2 tests, ranks will be decided.

Earlier exam date was October 29th, 2017 however on special request by Principals and parents, the exam date is re-scheduled to December 10th, 2017.

Yes, we have some amazing prizes for the registered teachers from top participating schools.


1st Prize: NASA camp. One registered teacher each from the top 4 participating schools will get a chance to go to NASA along with the 21 KCNS winners.


2nd Prize: Cash Prize of Rs. 21,000/- will be awarded to representative teacher of next Top 9 participating schools.


3rd Prize: Cash Prize of Rs. 11,000/- will be awarded to representative teacher of next Top 9 participating schools.

Only 1 teacher from each school should register. The registered teacher will be a point of contact for educharya team. It is expected that registered teacher will take the initiative to spread awareness about the exam to all the school students and try to get maximum students registered for KCNS exam.

The KCNS Exam will be conducted online on www.educharya.com. The student will have to log in at the pre announced exam date & time and take the exam, from home. The Exam duration will be 1 hour.

The exam is based on the school syllabus for the respective class. A student of Class V will appear for his Class V syllabus. Similarly for other classes and boards.

Exact time for the final exam will be available on the website prior to exam and will also be conveyed to all the teachers and students via email.

If you have already registered for KCNS exam then you will see the exam question sets there. If not registered, a form will appear asking for your details for registration. Fill in the details and submit. Revisit the link and you should find the question sets.

Teacher code is optional. Students can register without the Teacher code.

For preparation, there will be total 9 sets on 9 Sundays between 11th August to 5th December 2017.


Sets 1,2,3 are of 50 questions each , Sets 4, 5, 6 are of 75 questions each, and Sets 7, 8, 9 are of 90 questions each.


Final KCNS exam paper will be of 100 Questions.

In each paper set, 50% questions from Science ( including computer science ), 30% questions from Mathematics and 20% questions from General Knowledge.

Duration for each set of paper will be 1 hour.

There are no restrictions from our end. If you can read and understand the questions in English then you should appear for this exam.
